Stonesoft Releases Firewall for Remote Offices
By P J Connolly

October 8, 2008 — It's easy for remote offices to be overlooked when it comes to securing their connections. To address, this, Stonesoft introduced the StoneGate FW-310, a firewall that offers what the company called integrated full intrusion protection for remote offices.

It is controlled by the StoneGate Management Center, which allows consistent enforcement of security policies across geographically dispersed networks. The FW-310 has 60Mbps of VPN throughput and 250Mbps of total capacity for meeting the needs of a broad range of remote office scenarios.

The StoneGate FW-310 is expected to be available this month, and it offers built-in tools for bandwidth management, firewall clustering, ISP load balancing and QoS management.
