AccessEnforcer Gains SSL VPN Connectivity
By P. J. Connolly

October 8, 2008 — Calyptix Security used the annual SMB Nation conference in Seattle to introduce AccessEnforcer 2.0, a security appliance designed for use with Microsoft’s Windows Small Business Server. The company claims that AccessEnforcer offers seamless integration with Active Directory for automatic authentication and access control.

AccessEnforcer 2.0 adds a new graphical management interface and updates to its network diagnostic tools and reporting features. Pricing details and availability were not available.

SSL VPN connectivity is also new in this release, allowing Calyptix to pitch AccessEnforcer as a unified threat management device that protects a network against threats like spam, spyware, viruses and targeted attacks, while securing remote access.
